Clinical Use

Evaluate the ability of a patient to produce antibody to pure polysaccharide vaccines (Pneumovax) or protein conjugated vaccines (Prevnar) after vaccination to rule out antibody deficiency.  Measures serotype-specific IgG antibody levels against 14 pneumococcal serotypes(1, 3, 4, 5, 6B, 7F, 8, 9N, 9V, 12F, 14, 18C, 19F, 23F), and is primarily intended to be used in determining response to pneumococcal vaccines.
